Asia Carrera
Career
Of German and Japanese heritage, Carrera debuted in 1993 and became one of the top contract stars of the mid-to-late 1990s, winning AVN’s Female Performer of the Year in 1995 as the award’s first Asian-American recipient. She retired from performing in 2003 and pursued higher education, later earning a psychology degree, a master’s in education and a Juris Doctor, and passing the Texas bar exam. She is a member of Mensa.
Signature: Broke a genuine industry barrier in 1995, then left and qualified as a lawyer — one of the most complete second acts anyone here has managed.
Index score — The Pornstar Ranked Performer Index v3.0
Scores are normalised within a single ranking's field, so this breakdown is Asia Carrera's placement inside The Top Pornstars of All Time, Ranked — the largest field she appears in. Her rank on each of the other 2 rankings below was computed against that ranking's own field and is not the same measurement.
