Career
Welles debuted in 1988 and broke through two years later with a rare same-year sweep: XRCO Female Performer of the Year, XRCO New Starlet and AVN Best New Starlet, all in 1990, confirmed directly against Wikipedia’s own XRCO Awards Female Performer of the Year table. She was married to director Paul Norman from 1990 to 1994 and later moved into directing and talent-agency work. AVN inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 1996, followed by XRCO in 2000.
