Rebecca Lord
Career
Lord entered the adult-film industry in Paris in 1993 after answering a newspaper advertisement, then relocated to Los Angeles, where she built a career of more than 200 films by 2007. She founded Rebecca Lord Productions and ran an early performer-owned internet paysite, appeared in George Michael’s "Outside" music video in 1998, made three appearances on The Howard Stern Show, and co-starred in the independent film I Am a Sex Addict (2005), directed by Caveh Zahedi. She published a co-authored autobiography, To My Dear Civilians, With Love, in 2016. AVN inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2013.
Signature: One of the few performers on this list with a mainstream music-video credit — George Michael’s "Outside" (1998) — sitting alongside her own performer-owned paysite, an early instance of direct-to-fan distribution outside the studio system.
