Tomoda debuted on 3 August 2002 with Center Village's 『人妻慕情』, one of the earliest maker lines built entirely on the 人妻 premise. She retired in March 2010, citing a wish to pursue pregnancy and childcare, and returned on 25 August 2016 as a Madonna exclusive — a contract she still holds, now split between Madonna's main line and its 40s-only MONROE imprint. She took a category prize at the 2008 AV Grand Prix and placed fourteenth in FANZA's first-half 2024 actress ranking, twenty-two years after her debut. In a 2025 interview she spoke about having a daughter.
Signature: One of the very few careers in this category with a documented family reason for both the exit and the return.
