Dale DaBone
Career
DaBone debuted in 1998, stepped away from the industry in 2003, and returned in 2010 — the same year he was cast as the title role in Axel Braun’s Batman XXX, the film that kicked off Vivid’s superhero parody line. He followed it with roles in This Ain’t Avatar XXX and Elvis XXX, giving him three documented parody credits across two studios and two years. His broader record includes an AVN Best Actor win in 2003 before his hiatus and a second Best Actor win in 2012, with an XBIZ Performer Comeback of the Year award in 2011 marking the return between them.
Signature: The only performer on this list with a competitive Best Actor win from AVN both before and after his parody-era work, bookending a title role in the film that started the modern superhero-parody cycle.
